We recently celebrated a third birthday around here, for little Hannah. We did it earlier than her actual birthday as we were pre-empting an early arrival of Ada, and I'm glad we did.
I made this classic ribbon cake for her birthday cake, along with the the heart banner, using baker's twine and two paper straws to hold it up. Although it's a bad photo ('twas a dreary day) it looked great and tasted even better, especially served with iced coffees and pink milkshakes for the kids.
